Hotel Life

It was a treat to have dinner outside on the picnic table! Not too cold!
I found a recipe online for biscuits that are "baked" in a skillet - it WORKED! They tasted just like the ones we make in the oven!
Hors d'oeuvres before dinner...

This was one of the lunch times we had Grandma & Grandpa in for a meal.

Shooting the breeze in the early afternoon shade.
The pool was very cold so they never stayed in very long!
The boys did 100 jumps into the pool for a number of days in a row - a good technique for staying warm!

The boys did homework in the courtyard, on different picnic tables so they could concentrate.

It was tight but we made it work - the hotel gave us a couple of extra chairs so we could all sit around the table at the same time!
Snack time in the courtyard. They were trying apple-flavored soda.
Katrina had to get in on the action.
More homework. This was one of the earlier days - it got warmer the longer we were there.

More beach shots - we took a bunch of trips!

This is a different type of sundial! The kids had a fun time checking it out!

Grandma with Julia!
This was on a different beach - it was a bit of a drive away, but was sandier - the other beach had very fine stones.

Our first trip to the beach

Wading with jeans on!
Enjoying wide open spaces!
Loved the umbrella!

There were shells GALORE! A. Susan said that after the last two hurricanes there were TONS that came up. They were perfect and whole! Incredible!
Checking out their haul!
Julia showing off her favorite!
Josh and Grandpa!
Sweet Katrina...

Hanging out in Mexico

What a sweet, godly couple! We love them so very much!
We had a cookout with U. Howard, A. Susan and the grandparents before everyone else came.
Here are the "big kids", including the bride and groom.

Julia enjoyed time reading with Grandma.
While the boys were gallivanting with Daddy, Julia got to watch a movie!
Spencer enjoying reading in a Pume hammock from Josh's folks' tribe in Venezuela.
