A friend of mine posted on FB that she had plans to make corn dogs with her kids. I'd never thought of trying that, but I'd just gotten my hands on a rare batch of cornmeal (can't buy it in our region as far as I know) so I decided to try it. The kids were thrilled!
Our friends and colleagues, the Elroy family (also co-owners of our car at the time) were planning to be back in the States for Thanksgiving. We were sad that they were leaving, but decided to celebrate Thanksgiving early with them. Some friends from Singapore had brought us a turkey (another thing we can't buy in this region), so we went the whole 9 yards - turkey, gravy, homemade stuffing, sweet potato casserole, cranberries, mashed potatoes, rolls, corn, and pumpkin pie! It was a great evening. We ended the night with an hour or two of Wii dance to work off the meal!
So thankful for them and for a great meal together.
