After Thanksgiving we celebrated an early Christmas with an adopted family member. Naomi (one of our colleagues) has become like a sister/aunt to our family and we were thrilled that she could take the time to join us for a week! We decorated the house, put up the tree, baked cookies and at the end of the week we had a special Christmas dinner and opened gifts!
Of course Josh had to put the star on top of the tree - no one can reach it better than him! :)
We had some extra ornaments so we hung them from the curtain rods!
All set for the food to come out of the oven!
We had stuffing, sweet potato casserole, garlic mashed potatoes, and a baked chicken!
Since we celebrated on December 1st, we also included the readings from the advent chain in our evening celebrations!
