We got a kitty cat - could NOT resist him! His name is Boots.
He's such a sweet kitty!
My sister arrived in mid-June with plans to stay until mid-July. The next couple of posts will be a lot of the things we showed her about life here.
Katrina's less-than-enthusiastic greeting for Tamara - she didn't remember her at all. Katrina was almost 2 when we left to come back here and almost 3 when Tamara arrived.
First on the agenda? Sup buah - an incredibly refreshing treat! Watch how I make it.
Clockwise from the top: dragonfruit, starfruit, snakefruit and dragon's eye fruit.
Dragon's eye fruit is named for how it looks cross-sectioned.
Cutting up an avocado
Avocado in each bowl, now on to the ripe jackfruit
Bought these prepackaged, because I don't want a whole ripe jackfruit around.
Cutting up starfruit
So pretty
The inside of the dragonfruit - sometimes it's pink. The black seeds are crunchy like in a kiwi.
Now time for the mango
ALMOST ready to eat
We added ice shavings and a drizzle of sweetened condensed milk. We do this with whatever fruit is in season!
